What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Today I get to see my sweet mommy and sister in Las Vegas. The past couple of weeks have been hard. Just to fill you in my boyfriend and I broke up. I don’t often share personal things on the blog, but wanted to share and even help someone going through this.
I feel a change happening on the blog platform where people want to know more personal things about people and how or tips to cop with these difficult situations. So I am sharing my 5 things to help you deal with a break up.
1. Have a peaceful break up : there is nothing worse than a mean and angry break up. You say things you didn’t mean and hurt one another for no reason. Be sweet and who knows what can happen when you are in a better state of mind.
2. Keep yourself busy : I have been traveling a lot, went to a blog conference, working a lot, and reconnecting with friends. I made a big effort when I was in my relationship to keep my friends close. I wanted them to be apart of our relationship, but also when something happens you aren’t left alone and with no friends.
3. Take back your schedule : when you are working around 2 peoples schedule some of your favorite things you did when single go to the waste side. So start watching your favorite TV show again, hit up that cool gym with cute boys, go shopping, join a new church, or have happy hour drinks with an old friend. So much to do to keep you busy and bring some of the things you love to do back into your life.
4. Go to church : this really should be #1. Find a new fun church. Not that you are going there to meet boys, you are going there to meet new friends. You have to put yourself out there in a good place to have love and friendship find you. Plus God is in control of all so if its on your heart, just know He is calling you there. So grab and friend and head to visit Jesus.
5. Put yourself out there : this is most important. You cant quit. You have to put yourself out there for others to meet you. You never know who can set you up or introduce you to someone special. I used to take a dating detox, wrong. You cant stay home and morn the lost of someone who you don’t need to be with anymore. Chances are they aren’t at home morning either. So get dressed up, do your hair and makeup, and meet up with good friends and family. If you don’t put yourself out there you will always be alone.
So with that being said, here is a fun little night out on the town outfit inspiration for you. The bomber is a big trend right now. Its a great layering look for weird weather and adds some edge and style to your basic jeans. I am also still loving velvet and these shoes from holiday are the perfect shoe for a night out with your girls. Its fun and flirty, well heck and I am thirty.
