It’s Fall y’all and time to share the 5 trends to try this Fall. We have all experienced shying away from trends due to skin tone, body shape, height, etc. With that in mind, I have picked five universally flattering fall trends for you to try.
No. 1 – Shacket
First on the list of trends to try this Fall is the Shacket! Shackets come in a variety of solids, prints, and plaids. The shirt/jacket cross-over is great paired with a layering tee or bodysuit. It is generally oversized and lightweight enough to accommodate a sweater. The shacked is not as bulky, boxy, or stiff as a blazer or traditional coat and usually hits low enough to cover problem areas and creates a column appearance. WIN!
Neutral colors are trending this year in everything from outerwear and layering pieces to footwear, and even nails. Pairing two neutrals create a “put together” look and is just as easy to break apart and mix and match with other items in your closet. Additional trend alert: Ribbed basics.
The Spanx faux leather joggers elevate the neutral shacket. Complete this look with an unexpected statement like the shearling mule with chain detail.
No. 2 – Clogs
Crazy about CLOGS! Originating in Europe during the 15th century, people have slipped their feet into waterproof clogs for strolling the beach, minimalistic clogs during the hippie movement in the ’60s, and designer detailed clogs in the 1990s. The 2021 updated clog is classic in a sense but with variations in heel height and shape, shearling and braid accents as well as fun metallic colors. Look for this trend in seasons to come as well!
Clogs also pair well with a peasant top like the one worn here and ANY kind of denim (straight, boyfriend, skinnies, and of course flares).
No. 3 – Peasant Dresses
My favorite dress ever: Feeling Groovy dress by Free People. This long sleeve maxi dress is amazing and versatile. This dress comes in several colorways, can be belted or worn loose, and transcends most seasons.
No. 4 – Western
Everyone is enjoying the western fashion movement and anxiously awaiting the new season of Yellowstone! This tiered floral skirt and sumptuous sweater are beautiful. You can always accessorize your outfit with a suede hat and boots or booties. This look is sure to catch Rip’s eye!
Western boots are making a strong comeback this year. Don’t despair…wide calf boot options are available ladies!
There is something about velvet that is just decadent? This velvet duster is so yummy and flattering for a modern western look. Turquoise statement jewelry is always a great accessory.
No. 5 – Faux Leather
The final trend to try this Fall is none other than the Spanx Faux Leather Joggers! Not to be outdone and accompanied by the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings is a must have Fall and Winter closet staple. A great option would be to pair these leather joggers with a novelty tee like the one shown here. This style is anything but basic, due to the pretty sleeve ruching details. Wearing a size large in Spanx.
Ultimately, Spanx faux leather leggings aren’t going anywhere! Tunics or short dresses (depending on your height) in vivid prints are a style maker’s canvas. Wearing an XL in Spanx leggings.
