So it’s midnight and I am writing today’s post watching recaps of the weekend which included the Presidential inauguration and the women’s march in Washington. I cant stop reading and watching all about the political fashion. From what the new Prez wore to the first lady and the children.
Whatever side you are on can we just all agree how absolutely beautiful and stunning Melania Trump looked in all her Inauguration Day looks. Her powder blue double faced cashmere dress designed by american designer Ralph Lauren was to beyond perfection. She channeled the ones who have come before her, then setting the tone of the kind of FLOTUS she will be with her inaugural ball gown. Fashion and politics go hand in hand. We all want to know who the first family is wearing at all times. They make a statement to the world with the first look. At least that is how I feel as a fashion forecaster.
This dress I am wearing is my little nod to political fashion. I love the button up look with a pintucked chest. The OTK boots add an updated touch to this simple navy dress. Of course I have to complete the look with my USA made cross body by Gigi New York. I think this look is coming with me to The Southern Coterie, getting so excited about it now that its 2 weeks away. I feel great and comfortable in this dress and its the perfect winter look, especially for this crazy weather we have had in the south.
