I really don’t think there is anything more festive than pulling out my Grandmothers old cookie and cake recipes.  I just love seeing all the ingredient stains, edits, and of course my Granny’s handwriting.  These recipes have been passed down to me and I hold them so dear to my heart.  This year has been the first year I bakes some of these cookies.  I made the last recipe, Chocolate Cookies, for my cookie swap this weekend.  They turned out more than perfect, they tasted just like when my Granny made them.  I was so excited, sometimes the person who always made the recipe has a special touch or did something without even knowing they did it.  So that can make it hard to recreate.  My friends all loved them and I passed out the recipes to all the girls so they can make them for their families.
